A Christmas album produced by independent musicians from South Cheshire has raised £347.21 for Looking After The Homeless (LATH).
The artists – known collectively as ‘The Electric Sprout Foundation’ – each wrote and recorded an original family-friendly festive track for the 12-track album, titled ‘Snow Business’.
Cheshire Police arrested 1,862 people across the county as part of an operation to keep people safe during the Christmas period.
Operation Jingles, which ran from December 1, included 229 arrests made in the Crewe and Nantwich divisional area – the third highest.

More than 70 members of Nantwich Running Club took part in their annual ‘Christmas lights run’.
The runners all met at The Woodside pub in Wistaston and seven groups ran a distance of either 3 miles, 4.5 miles or 6 miles.

The seventh annual ‘Christmas Tree Festival’ took place at St Mary’s Church in Acton near Nantwich.
The free event welcomed visitors to view over 30 dressed 6ft Christmas trees.

Wistaston Community Council’s annual ‘Christmas Concert’ brought festive cheer to villagers.
The concert, at St Mary’s Church Hall on Church Lane in Wistaston, featured the Wells Green Choir led by Myra Wood, The Swinging Woodpeckers and Wistaston Church Lane Academy Choir.
Staff and volunteers from St Luke’s Hospice are again offering their Christmas Tree collection service to help raise vital funds for patient care.
