
Police made a series of arrests across Nantwich and Crewe during a busy weekend, say officers.
A number of incidents happened including a man arrested in Nantwich possession of a knife, a woman allegedly stealing a car in Shavington and a teenager arrested for attacking a woman in Nantwich town centre.
On Saturday, police arrested a 28 year old man from Crewe in Nantwich after reports he was in possession of a knife.
Officers say they found him after he initially fled, and the bladed weapon was also located.
On the same day, two male juveniles from Stoke were arrested after a moped was stolen from Macon way Crewe and Class B drugs were found.
Also, a 35-year-old woman from Shavington was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for Police, drug driving and other motoring offences.
She decamped from the vehicle after popping a tyre during the pursuit.
A 42-year-old man from Merseyside was arrested after being abusive towards passengers while intoxicated on a train in Crewe.
On Sunday, officers arrested a 19-year-old man from Middlewich after he allegedly assaulted a woman in Nantwich in the early hours.
Also in Nantwich they arrested a 58-year-old man in the town centre on suspicion of criminal damage to a motor vehicle.
And a 27-year–old man from Crewe was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault, coercive behaviour and historical sexual offences against his partner
Officers were also busy on Friday, arresting a 57-year-old man from Crewe on suspicion of domestic assault after reportedly wrapping a hoover cord around her neck during an attack.
A 60-year-old woman from Crewe was arrested on suspicion of stalking and burglary offences against her ex partner.
And a 40-year-old man from Stoke was arrested near Junction 16 after a traffic stop revealed the driver had no insurance, no licence and failed a roadside drug test.
A police spokesperson said: “This is only a snapshot of incidents attended over this past weekend in the Crewe and Nantwich policing area.
“Please only call 999 in an emergency, 101 to report any non emergency incidents, and you can also file crime reports online via the Cheshire Police website.”

No doubt the courts will do nothing except give them all a slap on the wrists.
