Nantwich was buzzing on Saturday night as Ultimate Coldplay brought their thrilling tribute to one of Britain’s biggest bands to a packed-out Nantwich Civic Hall, writes Jonathan White.
A sell-out crowd of 500 fans enjoyed an electrifying evening of music from an act delivering hit after hit in a performance bursting with energy.
The night opened with a superb warm-up set from talented Nantwich musician Stephen Robinson, whose acoustic covers showcased his impressive vocals and guitar skills.
Robinson – also part of Cheshire-based rock/pop trio FootSteps – won over the audience and is certainly a rising talent to keep an eye on.
Hosted by Nantwich Town Council, Ultimate Coldplay transported the audience into the heart of a genuine Coldplay concert experience.
Since forming in 2017, the band has earned global acclaim as the world’s most accurate Coldplay tribute – complete with a striking Chris Martin lookalike who mirrors the real frontman’s voice, musicianship and trademark stage presence.

Kicking off with a powerful rendition of “Higher Power”, the band treated fans to a sensational setlist packed with Coldplay favourites.
Highlights included “Charlie Brown”, “The Scientist”, “Paradise”, “Adventure of a Lifetime”, “Fix You”, “Yellow”, “Viva la Vida”, and an unforgettable finale of “A Sky Full of Stars.”
Nantwich Town Council’s slick organisation and vibrant festival-style staging added to the atmosphere, with dynamic lighting and a booming sound system transforming the Civic Hall into a lively concert arena.
The event marks yet another success for the council, reinforcing Nantwich’s growing reputation as a hub for outstanding live music and cultural events.
