One of St Luke’s Hospice’s most loyal supporters is opening her home near Nantwich to stage two festive fundraising events for the charity.
Johanne Thomas, a Vice President of the Hospice, is hosting two luxurious Christmas crafting days at her Burland Hall home.
The crafting days will be held on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th December, with all proceeds raised helping to fund care at the Hospice this Christmas.
Guests can take part in hands-on workshops including willow wreath twisting and Christmas decorations; chocolates and truffles; and peg loom weaving and associated crafts.
Johanne said: “I love crafting and the mindfulness and relaxation it brings, and that’s the warm and welcoming atmosphere we’ll be creating at Burland Hall.
“Whether guests come along with friends or family, or simply to enjoy some peaceful crafting time, it’s the perfect way to pause and relax at such a busy time of the year.
“The house will be decorated for Christmas, and we’ll serve delicious refreshments and lunch. It promises to be a truly special experience for a very special cause.”
Johanne and her husband have supported St Luke’s Hospice for many years, hosting everything from open gardens to Michelin-starred dinners – all to raise vital funds.
She added: “St Luke’s is such an amazing place.
“It’s a real privilege to be a Vice President of the Hospice, and to have the opportunity to use our home to give something back to the community is so important to me.
“I know what it means to families to be able to go to St Luke’s and receive care and support because it’s such a very special place.”
