A determined Nantwich swimmer with cerebral palsy is making waves for a cause close to her heart.

Caroline Jones, 58, is taking on a month-long charity challenge in aid of Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices.

Caroline is aiming to swim 20 lengths of a 25-metre pool every week for 26 weeks — a marathon effort that will see her power through the winter and into spring 2026.

The charity provides vital care for children with life-threatening conditions and offers crucial support to their families from the moment of diagnosis.

Caroline’s condition means she has limited use of her left arm and leg, but has been swimming with Seahorse Swimming Club in Crewe for five years.

She also volunteers at the Hope House shop on Swine Market in Nantwich where she has been since 2024.

Seahorse Swimming Club Secretary Gareth Roberts said: “Caroline shows incredible determination every time she gets in the pool.

“This challenge gives her a real focus during her sessions, and she knows her hard work will make a difference to a charity that means so much to her.”

Supporters can sponsor Caroline via this JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/page/amelia-williamson-1 or by popping into the new Hope House shop on Swine Market.
