
Nantwich Town U18s have stormed into the Cheshire County Youth Cup semi-finals with a 4-0 win over Warrington Town, writes Jonathan White.
The young Dabbers produced an impressive display and wasted no time asserting themselves, with Jo Townsend opening the scoring inside two minutes, expertly slotting home from the edge of the box.
Nantwich doubled their lead just before the half-hour mark when Billy Newman reacted quickest to a rebound off the post to fire home from close range.
Warrington pressed for a response, but captain Louis Melling was on hand with a superb diving save to preserve the 2-0 lead at the break.
The second half saw Nantwich maintain control. Townsend scored his second in the 66th minute, showcasing excellent skill to drive into the box and finish calmly.

Just two minutes later, Kenzie Pickles sealed the victory with a clinical finish in the penalty area.
Melling kept the clean sheet with another strong save late on to secure the 4-0 triumph.
Nantwich Town U18 now progress to the semi-finals, celebrating a dominant performance in front of their home supporters.
