A man from Stapeley in Nantwich is one of two arrested after more than 500-kilograms of cannabis was seized.
The 536 kilogram haul was seized by border officers back in August.
Staffordshire Police say it was intended for an address in Stoke-on-Trent.
Following an investigation, two men were arrested yesterday (Monday 15 December).
A 43-year-old man from Stapeley has now been arrested along with a 35-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “They have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to import a controlled drug of class B with intent to evade a prohibition or restriction.
“They have both been released on bail with conditions whilst our investigation continues.”
