The Women’s Team at Nantwich Walking Football Club have agreed a new kit sponsor with Kevin Carter, of Raven Electricals.
The team, managed by Kate Rose, previously had to wear kit designed for male players.
But Raven Electricals have stepped forward with an offer to sponsor a new kit, also providing a design and clothing resource.
The club launched their new kit with an all-female Christmas game among club members at the Barony Complex in Nantwich.
Robbie Lambert, one of the club members, refereed the game.
A club spokesperson said: “It was more about the excitement of yet another amazing step forward in club development!
“Post game, Santa was on hand to distribute mince pies and a tot of sherry and club members came to watch and cheer on both teams.”
Sponsor Kevin Carter and his son Lewis who designed the kit were also in attendance.
Nantwich Walking Football Club was founded by Ray Sheppard 10 years ago and meet at The Vagrants Sports Complex in Willaston on Tuesdays 5pm till 6pm almost every week in the year.
