Crewe CC 2 - Lew Bacon

Crewe Vagrants Cricket Club are looking to build on a successful 2025 with a recruitment ahead of the new season.

The club, based in Willaston, has a number of opportunities regardless of experience.

The club plays in a competitive league cricket for both men and women.

In 2025, both men’s Saturday teams gained promotion, with the women’s soft-ball team finishing their inaugural season as champions.

A Crewe CC spokesperson said: “Whether you’re new to the game, or an established player after a fresh challenge – you can get involved!

“The men’s senior nets start in January at ‘The Cricket Barn’.

“2026 will see the introduction of a hardball women’s cricket team, to run alongside the current softball offer.

“If you would like give cricket a go, contact the club directly. Girls from year 8 upwards are eligible.

“Boys and girls can take part in the club’s junior set up – with U9s, U11s and U13s teams.”

Indoor training for juniors starts at Brine Leas School on Friday 23rd January. Contact [email protected] for more information.
