Fire crews tackled a vehicle blaze on the busy Newcastle Road between Nantwich and Willaston.
The silver car was alight when fire crews arrived at around 1.30pm today.
They had to block the road so firefighters from Nantwich wearing breathing apparatus could tackle the fire
A Cheshire Fire spokesperson said: “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish a car that was well-alight in Nantwich.”
The owner escaped unhurt from the incident, and witnesses say the scene was cleared by around 4pm.
