
Audlem Theatre Company is to stage its pantomime “Jack & the Beanstalk” this week.
The production – adapted by Laurence Shillito – promises a feast of family entertainment packed with laughter, adventure and theatrical sparkle.
The much-loved fairytale follows Jack on a journey from humble beginnings to dizzying heights, complete with magical beans, a fearsome giant, and plenty of twists along the way.
Audiences can expect all the traditional panto ingredients they know and love, brought to life with Audlem Theatre Company’s trademark warmth, wit and community spirit.
A Theatre Company spokesperson said: “This year’s production is set to be the company’s most ambitious yet, boasting exciting and colourful costumes and the biggest and best set design Audlem Theatre Company has ever created.
“From the bustling village below to the towering beanstalk above, the stage will be transformed into a vibrant world of fantasy that will delight audiences of all ages.
“Adding to the excitement is the casting of Steve Leonard as Dame Nanny Tickle.
“Steve brings a level of professionalism and dedication that is already shining through in rehearsals, and his commitment to the role is set to prove just what a formidable Dame he will be.
“With sharp comedy, larger-than-life characterisation and impeccable timing, Nanny Tickle is sure to be a highlight of this year’s pantomime.”
Audlem Theatre Company has introduced allocated seating in the hall, offering audiences added comfort and the ability to secure their preferred seats.
The show runs at the town hall from Wednesday January 28th to Saturday January 31st.
