Fire crews were called out to tackle a chimney fire at a house in Wrenbury near Nantwich.

The incident happened at around 8.45pm last night at a property on Nantwich Road.

A fire crew from Nantwich were called to the scene.

A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said: “Firefighters extinguished a chimney fire in Wrenbury using chimney rods.

“A thermal imaging camera was used to ensure there were no hotspots throughout the chimney breast or loft space.”
