Dabbers Dash marked UK Heart Month in style in Nantwich with a special CPR and defibrillator awareness demonstration.
Before the monthly Dash at Barony Park – led by founder Paul McIntyre — runners gathered beside the public-access defibrillator on the old toilet block near the 3G pitch.
They witnessed a hands-on life-saving session delivered by Nantwich-based home care provider Right at Home South Cheshire.
Representatives Tilly and Tina demonstrated how to perform effective chest compressions using a CPR training dummy, explained how a defibrillator works, where pads should be placed, and what to expect in an emergency.
Participants were invited to practise CPR themselves.
Early CPR and defibrillation can more than double a person’s chance of survival following a cardiac arrest.

Paul said: “A huge thank you to Tilly and Tina from Right at Home South Cheshire for delivering the defibrillator demonstration and supporting the community throughout February with CPR awareness sessions.
“The confidence and reassurance you’ve helped build locally really does matter.
“Thank you as well to Chaz and Kay for capturing the morning so brilliantly on camera — and a special thank you to my mum, who once again stepped up as tail walker, making sure nobody felt they were last.
“Most of all — thank you to everyone who came along. Whether you walked, jogged, ran, biked, wore red, learned something new, or simply showed up — you are what makes this community special.
“Dabbers Dash is never just about miles. It’s about looking after each other.”
Dabbers Dash is a free, informal monthly event covering up to 5km, with no timing and no pressure. Participants can run, walk or wheel at their own pace.
