Aroi Thai restaurant on Pillory Street in Nantwich

A popular Nantwich restaurant has announced it is to close with immediate effect.

The Aroi Thai restaurant has been a regular haunt on Pillory Street for many years.

But yesterday, its owners announced that the venue which opened in March 2008 is closing in another blow for the town.

In a statement, they said: “With heavy hearts, we want to share that our Thai restaurant has closed its doors.

“We are incredibly grateful for every customer who walked through our doors, shared meals with us, and supported our journey.

“Your smiles, kind words, and loyalty have meant everything to us.

“It has been an honour to serve you and be part of your moments — big and small.

“Though this chapter is ending, the memories we’ve created together will always stay with us.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our story. With love and gratitude, Chris & Sunshine
Aroi Thai Team.”

The closure follows that of the Love Lane restaurant on Love Lane in Nantwich, which served tapas and pizzas. That closed in September last year.
