Nantwich Town U18s win cup

Nantwich Town U18s are celebrating after winning the Cheshire FA Youth Cup in dramatic style.

The young Dabbers triumphed over Macclesfield with two late injury-time goals to win 3-1.

Macclesfield had the first real chance on 19 minutes but fired wide.

And Nantwich hit back soon after when a good ball found the Dabbers captain Hall who brought a first time save from Kelly.

Minutes later, Nantwich took the lead when Di Cicco, who narrowly missed just moment earlier, fired the Dabbers in front.

The goal on 29 minutes certainly settled the young Dabbers, and they could have added a second before the break when Pickles tested Kelly in the Macclesfield goal.

Nantwich were then caught out on the stroke of half-time when Macclesfield levelled against the run of play as Warrilow was played in and he had a simple enough finish.

Riley made a good saved in the Dabbers goal from a powerful free kick a few minutes into the second half.

And Macclesfield seemed to take the upper hand in the opening 20 minutes of the second period, without capitalising on their chances.

Guiver rattled the post for Macclesfield on 67 minutes as the young Dabbers battled to stay on level terms.

Pickles and Di Cicco both had half chances for Nantwich as the half wore on, but their shots were comfortably saved.

Then Pickles looked to have struck the killer blow for the Dabbers in the 92nd minute.

As Macclesfield pushed for a leveller, Nantwich broke again and made sure of the win in the 97th minute to send the travelling Dabbers fans wild.
