A driver was left trapped in wreckage after a two-vehicle smash on the A500 near Shavington.
The incident happened close to the Meremoor Moss roundabout at around 6.30am today (Sunday May 10th).
Firefighters from Crewe were called out to the collision and police closed the road in both directions while the person was rescued and wreckage cleared.
A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said: “A casualty was trapped in one of the vehicles and crews released them before handing them over to the care of paramedics.
“The road was closed while the incident was dealt with.”
