A driver was left trapped in wreckage after a two-vehicle smash on the A500 near Shavington.
The incident happened close to the Meremoor Moss roundabout at around 6.30am today (Sunday May 10th).

While I welcome the long-overdue decision to install a toucan crossing at the Peacock roundabout — a notoriously busy junction with fast-moving traffic — I am completely baffled as to why this relatively straightforward piece of work is expected to take up to five weeks.
The busy A500 was temporarily closed after a vehicle crashed into roadside signage.
Fire and police were called to the scene at around midday yesterday (December 14th) where the incident happened at the A500/A531 roundabout in Weston, Crewe.
