Cheshire East Council’s leader has urged out-of-town protesters outside Webb House in Crewe to go home – saying they are not helping anyone and are making residents feel very vulnerable.
Protests outside the HQ of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light on Victoria Avenue have continued since the building was raided by more than 500 police officers at the end of April.
A man from Nantwich and another from Crewe have been charged in connection with offences outside the religious group centre raided by police last month.
Daniel Tsimbilakis and Jordan Kennerley were arrested on Sunday (May 31st) in the Victoria Avenue area of Crewe.

An Edwardian former orphanage described as a jewel in Crewe’s crown is set to be converted into retirement flats after standing empty for 12 years.
Cheshire East Council’s southern planning committee has given the go-ahead for Grade II-listed Webb House in Victoria Avenue, to be transformed into 54 extra care apartments with a swimming pool and gym – subject to final design tweaks being approved by planning officers.
