
The busy A530 Whitchurch Road near Nantwich was closed today after a two-car crash.
Emergency services were called to the incident at around 7.15am today at the junction with Cock Lane, in Sound.
Two fire engines from Crewe and Audlem attended but no one was trapped in the wreckage.
A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving two cars.
“No persons were trapped, and firefighters worked to make both vehicles safe before handing the incident over to police.”
The road was closed for a time close to Sound Primary School while wreckage was cleared.
