A councillor has appealed for help to trace fly-tippers who dumped two lots of waste in rural lanes near Nantwich.

Cllr Janet Clowes, of Wybunbury Ward, is leading the appeal after these two incidents which happened yesterday (June 30).

One took place on Back Lane in Walgherton and the other on Dingle Lane in Bridgemere.

She said: “It seems as soon as you clear it up or get it cleared, some selfish individuals ruin everyone’s efforts.

“There have been two fly-tipping incidents on Dingle Bridgemere and on Back Lane, Walgherton.

“There is a suspicion that these may be a single perpetrator as they occurred in the same short time-frame.

“Thanks to the two residents who have already logged the Dingle Lane incident.

“If you know where these items have come from, please let me know (in confidence), call the police on 101 or contact Cheshire East Council – when you do, please quote the reference numbers.”
