A cheerleading team from Nantwich is celebrating after winning silver at the European Championships where it was representing Great Britain.
Majesty, from Apex Cheer Nantwich who train at Wingate Centre in Wrenbury, competed in the tournament over in Croatia last week and came second in their junior 2 category.
They competed in Novigrad in a category containing five teams against clubs from the UK, Germany and Italy.
The team consisted of 23 athletes from across South Cheshire area, with many attending Malbank School and Brine Leas School.
To earn the silver medal position, athletes performed a demanding routine featuring high-level stunts, tumbling and basket tosses, including back tuck baskets and double downs.

Proud coach Katy Firth said: “We train at the Wingate Centre in Wrenbury, where the team practises once a week, and we won a bid to the competition at the UKCA nationals in March.
“We’re incredibly proud of what the team has achieved, especially given the high standard of competition from across Europe and short preparation time!”
Apex’s sister club in Northwich also scooped honours in the same competition, with a Junior 1 group stunt gold, senior group stunt bronze and senior group stunt silver.
“For two small clubs based in Cheshire this is a massive achievement!” added Katy.
The club is welcoming new members to join over the summer.
“It’s a great time for anyone interested in cheerleading to get involved. We offer opportunities for ages 7+ and all abilities,” she added.
