
Crewe Vagrants Cricket Club in Willaston enjoyed victories for the 2nd XI, Women’s 1st XI and T20 sides who secured a place on Finals Day.
But the 1st XI suffered a disappointing defeat away at Stafford, falling to a 121-run loss.
The hosts posted 230-8 from their 50 overs before dismissing Crewe for 109 in 31.2 overs.
Despite the result, Vagrants battled throughout against one of the division’s strongest sides.
The 2nd XI returned to winning ways with an impressive 41-run victory over Hem Heath 4th XI.
Batting first, Crewe were bowled out for 126 in 35.2 overs before producing an excellent display in the field to defend their total.
Frazier Hoye starred with the ball, claiming outstanding figures of 4-10 as Hem Heath were dismissed for just 85 in 28.3 overs, securing a valuable league victory for the Vagrants.

The Women’s 1st XI continued their excellent season with a dominant nine-wicket victory over Kingsley.
After restricting Kingsley to 99-9 from their 20 overs, Crewe’s batters made light work of the chase, reaching 100-1 in just 14.1 overs.
Amy Bourne and Alison Smith both finished unbeaten on 30 as the Vagrants completed another comprehensive victory and continued their impressive start to the campaign.
The club’s T20 side then produced two excellent performances to secure their place at Finals Day.
In their opening fixture against Elworth 2nd XI, Crewe posted an imposing 167-7 from their 20 overs, with Sam Youds leading the way with an excellent 55.
The bowlers then took control of the contest, restricting Elworth to 108-8 to seal a convincing 59-run victory.
David Slack was the standout performer with the ball, producing superb figures of 4-33.
Vagrants then backed that up with another disciplined performance against Sandyford CC.
Defending 120-6 from their 20 overs, Crewe’s bowlers held their nerve superbly to restrict Sandyford to 106-6 and secure a 14-run victory.
Ryan Briddon anchored the innings with an unbeaten 70, while Bharath Sriramula starred with the ball, claiming impressive figures of 4-29.
The two victories ensured Crewe topped their group and progressed to Finals Day, capping another successful weekend for the club.
