Cheshire’s MIX 56 radio station is expanding its broadcast reach to Nantwich, Crewe, Sandbach and Congleton.
The station, launched in 2020, aims to connect even more communities across Cheshire, and will be broadcasting live from next week’s Nantwich Show.
Station Director Paul Smith said: “This is a huge step forward for Cheshire’s MIX 56.
“From our beginnings in 2020 when we launched during Covid, our goal has been to create a radio station that genuinely represents the heart of our communities across Cheshire.
“Expanding south into Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach, and Congleton means we can bring our programming to thousands more listeners and continue supporting the fantastic local events, businesses, and charities that make this area so special.
“Cheshire has always missed out on having its own local BBC station, we want to offer a local station that lives and breathes Cheshire through and through.”
The radio station studios are based in Lymm village in north of the county and they broadcast 24 hours a day.
Listeners can tune in on DAB or listen on Smart Speaker “Play MIX 56” or the app to experience a new sound for Cheshire.
