Mixed community choir Wistaston singers are on the lookout for new members of all ages.
The 60-strong choir – ranging in age from 20s to 80s – is wants more men to get involved to balance the harmonies.
The group’s musical mix is diverse covering musical theatre favourites and iconic hits by The Beatles and Queen to timeless classics by Mozart.
While the choir sings from sheet music, all songs are also taught by ear, making it easy for everyone to join in – regardless of experience.
Clare Shackleton, from Wistaston Singers, said: “There’s nothing quite like the joy of singing together.
“We’ve built a supportive, fun environment where everyone can feel confident and inspired.
“Whether you’ve sung in choirs before or are completely new, you’ll be made to feel right at home.”
The choir performs throughout the year and is available for bookings.
Wistaston Singers offer a free taster session, held on a Wednesday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Gainsborough Primary School on Belgrave Road.
