A sell-out charity concert bringing together local choirs and musicians raised hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research UK at St Mary’s Church Hall in Wistaston.
The event featured Wistaston Singers, St Mary’s Wistaston church choir, the Wistaston Belles handbell ensemble, and soloists Liam Tyler and Lucia Kemp.

Wistaston Singers have said farewell to their musical director Phil Houghton, who has stepped down after 22 years of leading the group.
Mr Houghton led the choir for the last time at St Stephen’s Church in Crewe, supported by assistant musical director Clare Shackleton, with Ann Farrington on piano.

At 5ft 2in, Clare Shackleton spent much of her time on tips toes during rehearsals with Wistaston Singers until the big-hearted Gresty Road company stepped in to help.
Nantwich Museum is staging a Drop-in Sing-a-long concert of Christmas music by the Wistaston Singers 11am-12pm Saturday December 21.
The museum shop will be open offering goods including Christmas cards, other greeting cards, games, toys, souvenirs, craft work including jewellery.
