Cllr Mary Slinn is new Mayor of Nantwich

The Mayor of Nantwich is spreading some festive cheer — with the launch of her Christmas Card competition!

Cllr Mary Slinn is inviting children and young people aged under 16 who live or go to school in Nantwich to design her official Christmas card for 2025.

The theme this year is “Christmas in Nantwich” and the winning design will feature on the card sent by the Mayor to community groups, dignitaries, and friends of the town.

Even better, the cards will be on sale at Nantwich Market on Saturday December 6th, so the whole community can share in the winner’s festive creativity.

There are also gift vouchers up for grabs for the winner and two runners-up.

Cllr Slinn (pictured) said: “This competition is one of my favourite parts of the year!

“It’s always amazing to see how our young people capture the magic of Christmas in Nantwich.

“Every entry is full of imagination and heart — the hardest part is choosing just one!”

To enter, design your card on A4 paper, either landscape or portrait.

It should be your own original artwork, inspired by Christmas in Nantwich.

Deadline for entries is November 14th.

Entries should be sent to:
Sheryl Birtles, Nantwich Town Council, Nantwich Civic Hall, Market Street, Nantwich, CW5 5DG.

Include your name, age, address, contact number, and school on the back of your entry. Entrants should be a resident or pupil of Nantwich.
