More than 2,100 runners laced up their trainers for the annual HSW Solicitors Nantwich 10K yesterday (March 1st).
And runners were cheered on by plenty of onlookers during the popular road race which took place in dry and mild spring conditions.
The 6.2-mile event, organised by RunThrough, saw competitors of all ages and abilities take on the closed-road course, starting and finishing close to Nantwich town square, with spectators lining the route to cheer them on.
The Wheelchair Race was dominated by Joshua Landmann of Wesham Road Runners, who crossed the line in an impressive 27:54.
Landmann is a member of the British Triathlon Paralympic World Class Programme and is aiming to qualify for the 2028 Paralympic Games.

In the men’s race, Andrew Miles of Vale Royal AC claimed victory in 32:33, while Sarah Brown secured the women’s title with a winning time of 36:35.
All finishers received a specially designed commemorative medal, a goody bag and an official chipped time.
Full results are available on the RunThrough website.
This year’s event supported The Joshua Tree, a charity dedicated to supporting families affected by childhood cancers.
The initiative was backed by HSW Solicitors in collaboration with Nantwich Running Club.

Volunteers from the running club helped ensure the smooth running of the race.
The first Nantwich 10K was held in 2022, spearheaded by Mike Stevens, founder of Nantwich Running Club.
He has since stepped down as chair and head coach, Stevens remains an active member, with Steve Epps now leading the growing club.
Established in March 2021, Nantwich Running Club has quickly developed into a thriving community group, welcoming runners of all abilities.

The club meets every Monday and Wednesday at 6.30pm at Malbank High School, with members running in various pace groups for around an hour.
