Nantwich band Unit 17 rocked the crowds when they performed a live set at the Isle of Wight Festival at the weekend.

The group, comprising five young talents from Nantwich, performed on the “This Feeling” stage on Friday afternoon.

It was one of the biggest gigs so far for the popular band, who’s members went to Brine Leas School.

Jonah Shaw, Tom Greenwood, Jack Day, George Phipps and Ben Riddle have also performed at various festivals locally, including the Jazz Festival and Food Festival.

Tom said of the Isle of Wight gig: “It was an amazing experience, and a huge opportunity for us to play at the Isle of Wight Festival in front of such a big crowd.”

The festival was a three-day sell out event and is now one of the biggest in the country.

This year it attracted massive acts like The Cure, Lewis Capaldi, Calvin Harris and Suzanne Vega.

Unit 17 are next playing at The Deaf Institute in Manchester on Friday 14th August.

They are also looking forward to playing again at the Nantwich Food Festival in September.
