Crewe & Nantwich RUFC kick off their quest to reach Twickenham this weekend in the opening round of the Intermediate Cup.
They take on Bakewell Mannerians for the first time in their history at the Vagrants in Willaston.
And Andy Brown’s men will be hoping to continue their strong to the season which sees them top of Midlands Two West (North) with two wins from two games.
They followed up their opening league victory over Stafford with a comprehensive 31-8 win away at Tamworth last Saturday (September 21).
This from is in contrast to their weekend visitors from Bakewell, who play at the same level but in the East Division.
Successive defeats have left the Derbyshire club second-from-bottom.
They were beaten by 12 points by early leaders Spalding and lost out by three to Ashbourne last weekend.
Crewe & Nantwich chairman Jon Cockburn said: “We are playing Bakewell Mannerians for the first time in our long history, so we want plenty of support to inspire the players to greater heights.”
Kick off is 3pm this Saturday September 28.
The club is also offering pre-match lunch packages. Anyone interested email [email protected] or call 07813092907.
