TV chef and Sunday Times columnist Candice Brown is promising a vintage show at Nantwich Food Festival this September.
The headline chef, 2016 winner of BBC series The Great British Bake-Off, loves everything vintage.
And the style icon has developed a big following that loves her vibrant range of lipsticks and infectious laugh.
Nantwich Food Festival will stage a number of ‘cooking theatres’ alongside more than 200 food and drink exhibitors from all over the country.
Candice will serve up dishes that she learned to bake with her mum and nan, many of which appear in her new book “Comfort: Delicious Bakes and Family Treats”.
She said: “I love to bake and cook old-fashioned comforting food, and talk about what I’m doing and why, where I get my inspiration, my family, my day – about anything really!
“I simply love food, and Nantwich being an old market town and having the food festival set entirely within the centre is everything I love.
“Mainly, I hope to be able to taste and try all the amazing foods and flavours on offer and talk to everyone about what they are doing, making, selling and why.
“I take huge inspiration from experienced foodies and seeking new flavours or combinations to take home and try myself. I am very excited!”
Claire Bassano will work alongside Candice.
A skilled home economist and chef in her own right, she has worked on BBC2’s “Saturday Kitchen” and helped to produce numerous cookery books.
Also taking to the hob is Yorkshire-born Nigel Brown, who has spent a lifetime in the hotel and catering industry.
He has worked in France, produced DVDs and established his own Cookery Academy.
Joining them across the packed weekend will be children’s TV entertainer Katy Ashworth.
Entry to the Nantwich Food Festival marquees and chef demonstrations is free, with a varied programme of events, music and entertainment across the three days.
The Nantwich Food Festival takes place from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 September.
