Cheshire East Mayor Arthur Moran joined residents to enjoy a cuppa as part of a fund-raising Macmillan Coffee Morning.
Cllr Moran, who represents Nantwich North and West, was invited along with the event at Park Road Bowling Club in Nantwich.
The club was taking part in the annual Biggest Coffee Morning event, along with hundreds of other organisations around the region.
And despite the town’s traffic problems, those who managed to make it helped to raise £465 on the morning.
Cllr Moran was joined by current Nantwich Town Council Mayor, Cllr Penny Butterill.
Many others joined in and brought along a wealth of home made cakes to support the event.
