Performers finished in a blaze of glory at Crewe Lyceum – after a fire drama meant they ended their show outdoors!
The incident happened during the final night-time performance of the popular production, Birdsong.

Marking the 100th anniversary of World War 1, Birdsong at Crewe Lyceum is an incredibly poignant and touching production.
Adapted from Sebastian Faulks’ novel by Rachel Wagstaff, the play tells the story of ‘Stephen’, a young English soldier and his continuous search for ‘Isabelle’, the love of his life.
Peter Duncan, Edmund Wiseman and Emily Bowker head the cast of the 2015 national tour of Rachel Wagstaff’s stage play Birdsong when it comes to South Cheshire.
The show, adapted from the novel by Sebastian Faulks, will run at Crewe Lyceum from Tuesday June 16 to Saturday June 20.
