Volunteers of Creating Dementia Friendly Nantwich are turning a town centre tree blue to mark Dementia Action Week.
They have decorated a tree outside St Mary’s Church in Nantwich in the colour blue, representing the Forget-Me-Not flower, the recognised symbol of Dementia Awareness.
Organisers of a scheme to turn Nantwich blue for Dementia Action Week are seeking more volunteers to help.
The Creating Dementia Friendly Nantwich group are hoping to run the initiative during the Action Week on May 7-11.
Nantwich could be turned blue next year by supporters of Dementia Action Week.
The week, in May 2020, aims to raise awareness and sets out to have fun helping the town become more dementia friendly.
