A community cinema project in Nantwich has been commended at the National Film Society Awards.
Nantwich Family Films @ 4 was hailed by film bigwigs at the event in Sheffield for the way it offers affordable family screen entertainment in a town without a cinema.
The next Nantwich Family Films@4 screening will be “Mary Poppins” after organisers allowed the public to vote! The films, screened at Nantwich Methodist hall on Hospital Street, have proved a big hit since the community cinema project was launched in January.
More than 80 people enjoyed the launch of “Nantwich Family Films@4” – a community cinema project in Nantwich. There was a party atmosphere at Nantwich Methodist Church as children let off party poppers as Crewe & Nantwich MP Edward Timpson formally opened the project.
Church volunteers in Nantwich have clubbed together to launch the town’s first community cinema! Nantwich Methodist Church in Hospital Street is behind the “Nantwich Family Films@4” project.
