The Government is “giving up” on Crewe and Nantwich rather than “levelling up”, claims the constituency’s Labour candidate.
Connor Naismith hit out after the recipients of Round 3 of the Levelling Up Fund was unveiled – with Cheshire East Council’s bids missing out.
Labour has selected Connor Naismith as its Parliamentary Candidate for the next General Election.
It follows a hustings and vote of local Labour Party members. Mr Naismith won a majority of votes cast
Councillor and Labour Chief Whip Connor Naismith is to apply for the Labour candidacy in Crewe and Nantwich at the next general election.
Cllr Naismith currently represents Crewe West ward on Cheshire East Council.
