Nantwich Town’s home match with Rushall Olympic today (February 4) has been postponed because of a frozen pitch. Temperatures plummeted to around minus 8 degrees overnight, leaving the Weaver Stadium pitch unplayable.
Crewe and Nantwich residents showed their support for Children in Need by raising £552 at a fun-packed show organised by The Cat radio. The evening, at Crewe Alexandra’s function room at the Alexandra Stadium, was supported by the Street Dance Academy who wowed the audience with fantastic routines.
Richmond Village Nantwich hosted a black tie benefit ball in aid of the ABF The Soldiers Charity. Around 75 guests enjoyed the event, including Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire David Briggs (pictured, left), Nantwich MP Edward Timpson and Deputy Mayor of Nantwich Graham Fenton.
