Cheshire Wildlife Trust has blasted a Government move to allow what they say is the largest ever seasonal cull of badgers.
The move could see nearly 2,500 badgers in Cheshire alone being killed this Autumn, the trust says.

The policing of Cheshire’s badger cull has cost taxpayers more than £1.3 million in the past two years.
Figures released by Cheshire Police show the force’s cull operation cost £484,892.16 last year – following the £831,093.07 cost in 2017.
Wildlife campaign groups have criticised Government plans for a badger cull in Cheshire.
Ministers have granted a licence for the culling of badgers which some blame for the spread of diseases like TB among farming livestock.
