When PC Alan Friday went to see a man about a dog in Nantwich he ended up learning some new tricks.

That’s because he met up with 92-year-old Peter Dainty – a retired officer who set up Cheshire’s first ever police dog unit.

Staff and students at South Cheshire College were given a glimpse of life as a police dog at a special talk. PC Jason Lennox and dog Will, of the Cheshire Police Dog Unit, gave students from the Humanities and Applied Social Science (HASS) faculty an insight into their work.
