Nantwich Police say they are close to identifying the illegal rider of an e-scooter which crashed into a teenage girl and fled.

The incident on the pedestrianised part of High Street left the 15-year-old victim with minor injuries.

The Cheshire Police Crime Commissioner has warned anyone riding a privately-owned e-scooter on the roads or in a public space faces having the vehicle seized.

E-scooters are classed as motor vehicles and riders need to have a licence and insurance.
