Nantwich Rotary members raise £1,600 for Nepal village hit by earthquake

Members of Rotary Club of Nantwich have raised more than £1,600 this year to help a Nepalese village rebuild after the devastating 2015 earthquakes.

So far, rotary members have donated £5,000 to Ghanpokhara Village which has helped to rebuild their drinking water source.

A Nantwich student has been selected to volunteer in Nepal on an International Citizen Service (ICS) placement.

Grace Tripp, a South Cheshire College graphic design student, will be travelling to Makwanpur in central Nepal for 10 weeks in June.

Nantwich Rotary to stage musical night to help Nepal earthquake victims

Rotary Club of Nantwich is to stage a musical night at the Nantwich Town FC to raise funds for victims of the tragic Nepal earthquakes.

More than 9,000 people died and 22,300 were injured in the disasters which struck two years ago in April 2015.
