A 12-year-old Nantwich pupil will be swimming across England’s biggest lake – to help raise funds for the Fire Fighters Charity.

And Cameron Thomson popped in to Nantwich Fire Station on Beam Street to tell fire crews about his challenge.

Nantwich fire crews have given local residents the thumbs up after they cleaned up during a fundraising car wash. Firefighters at the Beam Street station raised more than £200 in just a few hours washing cars for charity.

Nantwich residents are being urged to take their cars to the town’s Beam Street fire station rather than the car wash on March 24. That’s because local firefighters, fire cadets and volunteers will be out with their buckets and sponges to help raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
