Cheshire East grit bin map shows just FIVE in Nantwich

Cheshire East Council has been urging residents to use grit bins to help make local roads and paths safer during the current cold snap.

Yet, the authority’s latest grit bin map shows there are only FIVE in total across Nantwich, and none in Willaston and Stapeley.

Residents angry over Coole Lane’s removal from winter gritting routes say it has had an immediate chaotic impact on the busy rural road.

The first major cold snap of the winter led to a temporary closure of the road which connects Nantwich and Audlem after police were called to an accident yesterday (November 29).
