Nantwich Show officials hail sponsors as tickets set to go on sale

Nantwich Show officials have paid tribute to the event’s oldest sponsor as tickets for this year’s farming extravaganza get set to go on sale early May.

Breakfast food company Mornflake has been behind the show for more than 50 years and returns to the Reaseheath College showground on July 29 as a headline sponsor of the event’s Artisan Market.

Employers join forces for “Picnic on The Pitch” 350th anniversary

Hundreds of South Cheshire employees were given a day to remember as Mornflake and its sister company HJ Lea Oakes in Nantwich staged a giant 350th anniversary event.

The family-owned milling businesses welcomed more than 800 members of staff and their families to ‘Picnic on The Pitch’ at Crewe Alexandra FC.

HJ Lea in Nantwich and Mornflake team up to mark 350 years

Animal feed manufacturer HJ Lea Oakes has joined Mornflake in celebrating 350 years of milling oats in South Cheshire.

The firm, based at Aston near Nantwich, dates back to 1675 when William Lea began milling oats at Swettenham Mill, feeding the by-product to animals.
