Plan to install new Automaton Clock in Nantwich Civic Hall

Town councillors are bidding to install a new “Automaton Clock” in Nantwich Civic Hall. The project would involve engineering students from Crewe and Nantwich.

The idea emerged as town councillors and engineers discussed if it was possible to repair the broken Millennium Clock in the Cocoa Yard in Nantwich.

A Nantwich Town Council worker has ticked all the right boxes – after fixing the town’s Millennium Clock! The famous timepiece, in the Cocoa Yard between Pillory Street and Hospital Street, has baffled town leaders since it began stalling two years ago.
