Cheshire East Council paid out £6,674 in compensation for five complaints upheld by the Ombudsman between August 1 and November 30.
Cllr David Marren, vice chair of the audit and governance committee, said he thought the council took the matter “far too lightly”.

More than 1,000 people were unlawfully deprived of their liberty by Cheshire East Council, a new investigation has found.
The investigation by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman found that the council had “significant” delays in processing Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS).
Crewe and Nantwich branch of the Northern Pensioners Association visited the 20th Pensioners Parliament in Blackpool. The 36-strong group’s visit, funded by local housing provider Wulvern, included lively debates and discussions on transport, social care ‘granny tax’ and pension reforms.
