A heart-warming video shows how two otters have been released back into the wild after 12 months of care at a Nantwich wildlife centre.

The orphaned otters, Mary and Joseph, were admitted into RSPCA care at Stapeley Grange in Nantwich on Christmas Eve last year.

Baby otters orphaned by storms are working up a huge appetite – by eating half a kilo of trout a day at Nantwich’s RSPCA wildlife centre.

The otters were found by a member of the public in Rea Brook, Shrewsbury, on December 23.

Staff at a Nantwich animal hospital have been caring for a rare seabird blown off course by hurricane-force winds. This Razorbill (pictured) was badly hurt and found in a  shopping street in North Wales after the storms 12 days ago.
