Nantwich Police seized drugs and cash during a raid on a house in the town. Officers from the town’s Neighbourhood Policing Unit executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act on the premises on Hillfield Place.
Two police officers are in hospital after their marked vehicle was involved in a road accident in Nantwich. Cheshire Police confirmed the accident happened at the traffic lights junction of Beam Street, Barony Road and Millstone Lane.
Police closed the busy Nantwich Road in Crewe after a man climbed on to a rooftop and threw slates on to the road below. The drama began at around 5.30pm today (July 21) and the Cheshire police helicopter and dozens of officers were sent to the scene.

A lorry which jack-knifed across both carriageways of the M6 in Cheshire, crashing into several cars, caused traffic chaos for thousands of motorists today. Five cars were caught up in the accident between junctions 21 and 21A which led to closures on the M62 westbound to the M6 southbound, on the M62 eastbound to the M6 southbound, and the M6 at Croft Interchange.
