Highways engineers have wired up a new Nantwich road crossing which had been out of use for three weeks. Parents campaigned for years for the zebra crossing on Wellington Road, outside St Anne’s Catholic Primary School.
Parents and youngsters are celebrating a new zebra crossing outside a Nantwich primary school after years of campaigning. Cheshire East Council finally installed the crossing on Wellington Road by St Anne’s Primary during the half-term break.
Parents in Nantwich are calling for action from Cheshire East Council to make a busy road safer near their children’s primary school. Surveys a year ago showed Wellington Road outside St Anne’s Primary should have a lollipop lady and a zebra crossing.
