Rise in abuse suffered by CEC highways staff, warns council
Abuse aimed at Cheshire East highways staff is on the rise, the authority has warned.
Since April, there have been 37 incidents of staff reporting being abused by members of the public.

Bin collections in Cheshire East disrupted as Covid hits drivers

Bin collections have been disrupted in some areas of Cheshire East because of the impact of Covid and the availability of HGV drivers.
Cheshire East has managed to deliver local essential services throughout the pandemic and, unlike some local authorities, has maintained bin collections.

A new recycling and refuse plant is to be built in South Cheshire, replacing Pyms Lane which is to be sold to Bentley.
Cheshire East Council wants to build a multi-purpose depot on the site of the disused Ideal Standard factory in Middlewich.
