Nantwich families are being urged to take care with candles after a fire at a house in Crewe. Firefighters believe the blaze, which left one person injured, was caused by “careless use” of candles.
Police have stepped up patrols in Nantwich and Crewe after another report of a man in a green car seen approaching a teenage girl. The 16-year-old South Cheshire College student, from Nantwich, was followed by an Asian man as she walked to a bus-stop.
